5/6/08 – Swizzled and Staggered

Today we started our adventure by taking a ferry ride to Hamilton, the capital of Bermuda. I greatly enjoyed the ride as the wind blew through my hair. After a short bus ride we arrived at the Swizzle Inn, a quaint little bar and restaurant famous for serving rum swizzles, a Bermudian favorite. After imbibing a few of the yummy cocktails, I can understand why most patrons stagger out.

Boy, the Swizzle Inn brings back memories for Bill and me. On our trip to Bermuda last June, our cab driver bought us a pitcher of rum swizzles when we stopped to pick up his wife from work. Have a wonderful time, Nittany Gnome!! Pass along our hellos to Mr. and Mrs. S as well!
